"Why is this so protected from public disclosure?"
TO CommunityAIR Chair Brian Iler:
Again, you have expertly articulated the case for the flagrant disregard of proper procedures pertaining to the use of one of Toronto Islands - namely, The Island Airport. Why is there such little real local, city, provincial and federal support? Established rules are broken, money owed is not paid, prevailing legislation is disregarded as is valid legal opinion -- all in the interest of one man and his personal business. No press pursues this on behalf of the city. Why is this so protected from public disclosure? Wouldn't most Torontonians prefer that their tax money be spent on much needed subways instead of an unnecessary airport tunnel?
