Porter has now stopped doing their code promotions (i.e 30% off) and do you know what their regular pricing is? Wait it looks like the same price that it was with the promo. I guess Porter is not in such dire straits as you predicted. As I have mentioned before, the promos were just a way of getting customer's attention (people always like to buy something on sale). By always running a promo, Porter indirectly said what their real pricing was, and now with the removal of the ongoing promotion, we see that is the case.

Also, you predicted their death with the addition of competition, based upon the latest numbers they have actually improved. In short they are proving that there is a need/desire for this type of service in Toronto. And yes I know they have lower load rates than Westjet and Air Canada, but they also have a lower cost structure.
