Debate the airport, not Porter

Bill,

Please note I am not saying things are rosy, what I am saying is we don't know. There are some businesses that are heavy in capital (such as airlines) that will cause heavy losses in the beginning years. To me the real issue is how much money are the current backers of Porter willing to invest, that is the true barometer as too how much if any financial difficulty Porter is in. I made the point of pointing out Air Canada's financial situation, to make the point that quoting the financial numbers in the way that you do, could be considered misleading.

I am in strong agreement with Joe, that the debate should be on the airport and not Porter. If the various levels of government agree that airport should close, then it would be up to Porter to decide if their business model would make sense at an alternate airport. If not, they would make the business decision to close.

In short, let's have a debate on the airport and not Porter.
