Buttonville closing means corporate jets at Island Airport?

Buttonville Airport to close:

So a suburban municipality is going to multiply the net property tax revenues it receives after service costs generated by the space that has been Buttonville Airport, and those living around the airport will be paying higher property taxes as their property values increase as a result of the airport’s redevelopment, and those folks will be a LOT (npi) safer and healthier, living with less noise and air pollution.

So why shouldn’t a downtown municipality do the same, for even greater benefits to the municipality and its downtown waterfront residents?  Why continue to exclusively consider the alleged benefits of the airport per se and continue to ignore the costs as measured by splendid mixed use redevelopment alternatives (a town unto itself)?

Will this closure possibly cause the feds to try to lengthen the landing strips at the island airport to accommodate corporate jets displaced from Buttonville?
