Airports need to grow to survive
The "200% more problems" are a flash in the pan compared to what's coming soon enough. Airports have a way of growing unremittingly; indeed they have to grow to survive. Accordingly the pressure for commuter jets will mount, and all barriers to such a development will inevitably fall away. Recall the Toronto Board of Trade's contention that the model for the Toronto island airport is London's City Centre Airport in the U.K., now a very busy jetport ... surely a self-fulfilling prophecy if ever there was one.
