News flash: Ford voter loves Island airport
I think, Mr Iler, your logic fails again.
I, like many others, actually prefer the Island Airport. I count as friends some of the 12 million annual waterfront visitors. If it's so bad down here, why is it so popular? Why are condo prices so high?
And how many residents of the islands would be prepared to give up their sweetheart leases to open up even more parkland than just the airport should it actually fail as you predict?
And, finally, since you're obviously an expert on all things port and airline ... how will Air Canada drive Porter out of business with its 15 flights to Montreal? Haven't your faithful plane counters seen as many as 100 daily Porter flights, to many more cities? Sometimes I wonder if you and your team of volunteers have corporate sponsorship from Air Canada.
Good luck ... I don't think we've seen the last of the raccoon.
Marie
PS: Rob's got my vote.
