Clarification from Export Development Canada

Hi there,

My name is Phil Taylor, and I work at Export Development Canada, which has been cited in your blog a number of times as providing "below-market loans". I'd like to take this opportunity to address this innacuracy. EDC prices its transactions to risk within the market window. In fact, given EDC's commercial principles (EDC is financially self sustaining and has a profitability track record in excess of 65 years) and its commitment to pricing to risk, EDC can often be more expensive than the standard risk model of private banks. I thought your readers would appreciate the clarification.
Best regards,

Phil Taylor, EDC
