My point was that the only change in frequency of aircraft, and in aircraft noise, over downtown Toronto in the past few years has been the huge expansion of Porter's operations. Nothing else that I am aware of would explain that perception.

And as you have seen, some people out in Etobicoke (Lakeshore Blvd. west and Royal York Rd.) are bothered by Porter's flights. I have heard the same thing from people living in Cabbagetown.

Noise from streetcars is not an issue for most people. Clearly, noise from aircraft is an increasing concern.
