Rarely a minute "without the sound of an airplane over my head"
I'm wondering if you can point me in the right direction regarding where to (effectively) complain about the increasing levels of air traffic over Toronto. I live at Bathurst and College, and have noticed that, over the past few years, it has become harder and harder to pass a minute without the sound of an airplane over my head. Is there anything that can be done about this?
I responded:
Thanks. I attach our brochure, that sets out the basics of what is going on at the Island Airport. Most of what you are experiencing is a direct result of the massive expansion of that airport. It’s devastating to the waterfront, as you can imagine. Check out our website and blog. And if you’re interested in getting more involved, let me know.
And I received a call from a gentleman today who lives north of the City and described himself as a developer. He’s increasingly concerned by the impact of the expansion of the Island airport on the waterfront, and wondered why this hasn’t been an issue in the mayoral debates to date.
