I couldn't agree more!

I was away, out of the country working for a few months. I am aghast at the increase in the noise from the airport. It is insane! Sundays and Saturdays the noise is unbearable and nearly constant, especially in the mornings. One Saturday it was non-stop from 6am to well past 3pm! I couldn't believe how much worse it was even over such a short period of my absence. I suspect this is a strategy; increase the noise slowly so we all "learn to live with it" as if we ever could.

It is incredible that even though Polluter is a money pit our tax dollars are being used to "prop" it up.

On another related note: does it make any sense to have Polluter planes with their notoriously lax security measures landing within seconds of high value targets such as the 20 leaders of the worlds richest nations while cancelling outdoor cafe's and the Wards Island ferry during the G-20 meetings? Surely the weapons of choice in the 9/11 attacks are a greater threat to Obama et al than a patio chair on King St.
