In their agreement that forms the basis of the coalition government, the UK’s Liberal-Democrats and Conservatives have agreed on:

 • The cancellation of the third runway at Heathrow;

• The refusal of additional runways at Gatwick and Stansted;

A major victory for all the groups fighting airport expansion in the UK.
