Health effects of living near airports
The people near the Logan airport in Boston, like those near airports everywhere, are unhappy recipients of the massive amounts of air, noise and other types of pollution that the airports inflict on them.
There are numerous studies of the virulently negative health effects that those near airports suffer from: respiratory disease, cardiovascular issues, elevated blood pressure, learning disabilities in children, and cancer to name the more serious.
The pollution from airports can extend in a radius of 30 miles or more. Those on the other side of this issue who imply that everyone who doesn't like this advanced experiment in crony capitalism should move off the waterfront need to draw the evacuation line ... College St., Bloor St., Eglinton?
The link below goes to a health survey commissioned by those in a community near Logan. A casual troll with Google will turn up many more such studies.
