"If you don't want to be around aircraft you shouldn't have moved there"
What a hardy band of self-interested commentators we have on this site .. all dedicated to preserving their own narrow interests on the island and the waterfront.
One gets the impression Porter aircraft could fart perfume and you would still object to ANY aircraft using the Island airport.
Sorry, but I don't give a rat's posterior what the waterfront community, or the squatters and hippies on the Island, think about use of a public airport. If you don't want to be around aircraft you shouldn't have moved there.
Porter has my full support to expand its operations on the Island. Maybe there will be enough space for Air Canada Jazz to join them.
Toronto Island airport doesn't belong to the squawkers and whiners who want to keep the area all to themselves. It belongs to the people of Toronto and there's a lot more of us than there is of you lot.
Oh ... now it's the carbon footprint argument. That won't work any
better than all the other spurious anti-development, anti-Porter ravings
we see here.
Sorry but too many of you are too self-interested
and therefore too compromised to be taken seriously.
