The real issue: Increased air traffic
I have read your responses to the TPA, and the TPA is using the oldest
method in the book- they are averaging noise over a 24 hour period so
that they meet permissible standards. I am sure they will try to do
this with air quality data as well, if they ever get around to
submitting their data to the Medical Officer of Health, or monitoring
this data. They are far beyond lawful exceedences already for both
data.
It is very important to fight the noise and air pollution at the source, which is the number of flights, not enabling Porter to reroute their flights. As a legal matter, these flights were supposed to be limited under the Tripartite Agreement.
Porter was able to build this second terminal without legal opposition, now it is time to oppose their unlawful pollution, both air and noise, not allow them to spread it further by changing flight path patterns- that does not help the City of Toronto's health in any way, and allows them to circumvent the real issue- their elevated traffic.
