FLYING REFINED GETS REDEFINED
"Flying refined" - the Porter Air slogan - seems to be taking on a whole new meaning these days. On January 28, 2010 Porter had 29 delayed flights. Thirteen of those were delayed by more than an hour, and of those, three were delayed by more than two hours. (Porter also cancelled four flights on January 28. Not enough passengers?) As well, two flights were diverted to Pearson because they would have breached the curfew at the Island Airport. The passengers on those diverted flights were truly "flying refined". Not only did they land late, but it took an extra hour for them to get home or to their hotels from Pearson, when they were expecting to land at the Island.
