So many reasons for moving Porter to Pearson
Informative meeting at City hall today. So many reasons for moving Porter to Pearson for health and environmental reasons.
Pearson were impressive in their openness, their plans and their recently history in cutting down pollution.
One thing I did not know. It appears that Porter are dumping their de-icing fluid into our sewage system. This is another area that is costing all taxpayers money. Pearson recycles theirs.
I also had not realized now close some of the apartments and schools are to the runways. Some people mentioned 1,000 feet. From what I saw today, I don't think any people live that close to Pearson runways. I stand to be corrected here.
Sad to see that no-one from either Porter or the Port Authority spoke at the meeting. Sad to see that they apparently would not even answer letters from the Department of Health.
