Is the Island Airport getting a scanner exemption?
I just heard on CBC that the Island Airport may not be required to use airport scanners for security whereas Pearson definitely will be.
I have no issue with the use of scanners if they help to increase security that's fine. But what is the justification for not requiring them at the Toronto Island Airport with its regular runs to New York?
It seems to me that is waving a red flag to anyone considering illegal activity. And what would be the motive? If people know they will receive less hassle if they use the Island Airport will it not significantly increase traffic to Porter Air?
Is that perhaps, the real reason behind this questionable decision?

I hope you are able to raise this issue - I think it's an important one.
