Overshooting the runways
Talking about Porter planes overshooting the runways and missed approaches, we did witness one incident.
A Porter plane was descending to land. As it approached the runway, for whatever reason, it did not touch down, but flew back up to the sky. The plane was approaching from the west. As it came to about the middle of the runway it was still as high as 16 stories of the nearby condominium before it started to climb back up.
We were wondering what it was doing. Then we realized that the plane probably could not land with that height and the length of runway ahead of it, and so it had to climb up back to the air. It flew around and tried another attempt and finally landed at the Airport.
