Disgust the Waterfront community has not been consulted
Dear Mayor Miller and Councillors,
We are writing to you to express our sadness and disgust that the Waterfront community has not been consulted in your dealing with the Toronto Port Authority. We hope that you have read and are considering, the letter sent to you from Community AIR concerning the TPA/City Proposed Settlement
Our neighbourhood is continuing to be assaulted by the EXPANSION of the City Centre Airport, continuing engine run-ups, constant over flights by all forms of aviation, the breaking of the Tripartite agreement starting with airport expansion, breaking of curfews, use of non-Stohl aircraft, extreme noise, poisoning our air, and creating an unhealthy waterfront.
The City is spending millions of dollars "Greening our Waterfront" and all of it is mute with air craft activity and expansion at the Island Airport. I understand Mayor Miller that you are only one vote in the Tripartite Agreement, but you must use your voice to bring awareness to this travesty along the City's Waterfront. We, the citizens are being taxed to allow private enterprise to poison our community, destroy the public common, and ruin our children's health. Scandalous and criminal.
We, the citizens, must be involved in the decision making that affects our Community. Please help us.
Sincerely
Leida and Jerry Englar
