Build a wall along the southern boundry of airport
I have a question and a comment. My questions is, what are the ramifications if a liberal or conservative (who supports the Island Airport, the TPA and Porter) wins the election for mayor of Toronto? Could the tripartite agreement be re-written to allow more movements on the Island Airport or to allow jets? Or does this agreement have to stay in its current form for a number of years?
My comment is: it seems to me that the Island Airport and Porter are here to stay. If that is the case, shouldn't CAIR be focusing on trying to mitigate the impact of the airport on the surrounding community and public spaces? For example, perhaps a sound wall could be built along the southern boundary of the airport (like you see along highways that are close to residential areas.) This wall would eliminate most of the noise we now have- when the engines reverse on landing, when the plane is taxiing, etc.
