All commercial aircraft arriving after curfew must go to Pearson
(Editor's note: There have been private messages that have criticized CommunityAIR for being alarmist about the issue of curfew violations. This is Bill Freeman's response to those criticisms.)
Excuse me! CommunityAIR has been very responsible about the issue of curfew violations. If anyone has been irresponsible it has been the Toronto Port Authority, who refuse to do anything about curfew violations, and Porter Airlines who are very resistant in diverting their aircraft to Pearson after the curfew because they know it reflects badly on their service.

The public is concerned, that large commerical aircraft, filled with passengers, are coming into the Island Airport after curfew when no one is in the tower. This is not Brampton or Windsor. This airport is in the centre of a large and growing urban population. I don't have to explain the hazards. People are concerned and it is about time that those that work in the airline industry recognize it.
There is only one answer here. There should be no curfew violations by Porter. We don't want fines. We want a policy that says all Porter aircraft coming in after curfew must go to Pearson. We are not going to stop until that becomes the stated policy of the Toronto Port Authority.
