Um....not meaning to be facetious about this, but the headline of the Montreal Gazette story -- at least the one written for the CA website -- doesn't really match the story. If anything the Gazette goes on about what an different concept Porter was, and that it's dented the VIA Rail numbers a bit. It doesn't suggest anything to me at all about the airline surviving. And I can just about guarantee you that for this article there will be many others from news agencies and blogs that would emphasize that not only can Porter survive, but it thrives.
My opinion, anyway.
