Insults and load factors

Flyingmythbuster and Anonymous choose to insult those of us who think that an airline's health is indicated by its load factors.

I prefer "Joe"'s posts on this blog,in which he educates us on technical aspects of the airline industry that we may not understand.

Would Flyingmythbuster and Anonymous please help us understand what they mean by "yield" (I guess that it's the price paid per passenger) and why "yield" and not "load factors" indicate the health of an airline? Is there any short-hand formula used by airline experts to estimate yield, if they know the load factors?
