Support the Snowbirds

(Editor's note:  This submission seems to be in response to our website posting about safety.)

Stunts are dangerous, but may I remind you that the Snowbirds are the number one aviation team in the world and that Canadian fighter pilots are the best out there.

I would think the largest point you had here is about flying at the CNE and other airshows. May I bring to your attention that NOBODY in the public has been killed or even hurt in any of these crashes?

3 September 1989- The Capt. that died, died saving the people that were in the water. He maneuvered his crippled aircraft away from any boats saving countless lives.

Since then the CNE has pushed back the perimeter that they allow boat traffic to be in during the show.

To me, the danger lies in faulty U-Haul trucks and trailers. Their accident rate is far more atrocious and has probably caused as many or more likely MORE deaths since 1972 than the Snowbirds.

Have some respect for the professionals that are out there risking THEIR life to put on a good show.
