It's all in the question that is asked

Re: "Majority of Torontonians support tunnel to island airport"
The Toronto Port Authority has done a survey of 500 people and have found that 62% are in favour of a tunnel to the Island Airport. I am not surprised. People like to see infrastructure built. But the answer is all in the way the question is asked.
What if this question was asked to Torontonians:
"Are you in favour of paying between $20 or $40 million to build a tunnel to the Island Airport, to benefit Porter Airlines, a private company, and give a further subsidy to an airport that has cost taxpayers at least $100 million?"
Or what about this question.
"Are you in favour of expanding the Island Airport which is in the centre of the multi-billion dollar Toronto Waterfront project, the largest redevelopment project in North America, where 100,000 people will live and another 100,000 people will work when it is completed?"
I am confident that most Torontonians would answer NO to both questions.
