NEF contours with teeth
Hello All,
Seems the NEF contours may have more teeth than some people previously thought.
The proof will be when Transport releases the updated contours with a new slot limit for large turboprops like Porter or anyone else wishing to fly into the TCCA.
I mentioned many months ago that the slot limit "should" decrease if the helicopters are factored in. In my opinion, I think Porter may have enough sway with the TPA to have the helicopters moved to allow more flights for them.
I hope that a revised slot count doesn't go too far past the 120-130 that are currently allowed. I think area residents will have to view a potential increase in Porter flights in combination with the possible removal or large reduction of helicopter activities. In particular, the reduction of overnight flights should be a welcome change and in my opinion is a good trade off for a few more commercial flights throughout the day.
Finally some good news on this blog
Take Care!
Joe
