Not condoning curfew violations

Hello TD Rose,

Be clear that I am not condoning curfew violations. I am suggesting that complaints about 11:01PM arrivals need to be viewed in the context of the REAL impact on your life when compared to one at 11:00PM or 11:55PM.

Do you have the same opinion about strict adherence to times when you pull up to a gas station or a bank as they are closing? 1 or 2 minutes in these important situations can make a very big difference in someones life.

Just as a flight arriving at 11:01PM that avoids a diversion to Pearson saves their customers a very significant delay - especially those who live on the waterfront near the airport.

If you aren't asleep at 11PM then surely you won't be asleep at 11:01 or 11:02PM. And as I already disputed with the almighty "Skywatcher", unless you have access to the Atomic clock, who's to say "exactly" when a flight is recorded as landing or taking off.

Flightaware.com and other flight tracking software ALL have disclaimers about accuracy of times and indicate that they should not be relied upon for "operational" information.

Only Porter and the TPA have a record of the exact landing or takeoff time.

The hours of operation restrictions are a significant part of the TriPartite agreement and would require the city's approval to amend them. Therefore, reducing complaints about 11:01 & 11:02PM flights will not have any impact on the hours of operation unless Mayor Miller agrees to change them.

Take Care!
Joe
