Number of planes out of the Island Airport

Mr. Freeman,

Where do you get that "The number of planes -- large planes -- operating out of the Island and the number of passengers using the airport will at least double over the next 12 months."

Porter would need over 200 slots per day to double their operation. Do you know something about Porter gaining more slots that we don't???

It gets more than a little frustrating when informed people like you are completely ignoring a very basic constraint on Porter that keeps a limit on their daily flight total. Many of your supporters like "observer" or "very worried mom" don't have the time to research the issues completely and rely on you & Mr. Kotyk or Mr. Iller to provide facts.

If your THEORY on Porter doubling their operation has some facts behind it - then I'm not aware of it. These inflammatory statements only serve to create more fear in the lives of people who are looking for answers and information.

George W. Bush used fear of terrorism to gain support for his Iraqi campaign. I hope Community Air isn't adopting Bush like tactics to scare supporters into believing doomsday scenarios.

Your comment should have read, "thank goodness for the TriPartite agreement which restricts Porter to 120 (or so) flights per day. Without it, Porter MIGHT double their operation within the next 12 months - then we'd really see what a busy airport looks like."

Or words to that effect....

Take Care!
Joe
