No ugly industry or airport for Oakville

John Spragge,

Check your facts. The Oakville refinery has been closed since 2005 and now is merely a storage terminal.

In 2005 Oakville's median household income was $83,982 with an average house value of $306,209. Oakville is among the most affluent municipalities in Canada. (from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oakville,_Ontario)

You pretend to side with people "who have, on average, half the household income of the average person living on the waterfront" and now you side with the affluent of Oakville. Your inconsistencies bring into question your true reasons for being a proponent of the Island Airport. But, if you would like to move the airport to Oakville why don't you write to the MP for Halton. I'm sure it's a sexy issue that would certainly advance her career.
