Environmental equity

Sneer at environmental equity all you want; jeer at the people who actually make the things you take for granted; patronize the skills of people who keep you alive and prosperous. It doesn't change the fact that "concentrating" air traffic at Pearson means dumping pollution on people who have, on average, half the household income of the average person living on the waterfront.

By the way, a while ago, somebody snarked that we should put an airport on the Oakville waterfront. As anyone who has actually biked the GTA waterfront knows, Oakville has a refinery on their waterfront (no, Virginia, gas does not grow in pumps at the gas station. I have no doubt Oakville would gladly swap their waterfront refinery for our waterfront airport.
