Island Airport expansion is being planned

The latest from the Globe on the pedestrian tunnel.

In an interview Allan Paul, the acting CEO of the Toronto Port Authority, said that federal infrastructure money to construct the pedestrian tunnel has already been applied for by the TPA.

It is now clear that the Port Authority is bent on a massive, massive expansion of the Island Airport.  Porter is constructing a new passenger terminal.  The pedestrian tunnel is the next stage of the expansion.  Can a proposal to lengthen the runways be far behind.

Look at the signals.  Remember the federal ministers who attended the Porter announcement of the expansion of the terminal facilities at the Island Airport?  Lisa Raitt, the former CEO of the Toronto Port Authority, is a cabinet minister.  The federal Conservative government loves the Island Airport.

It is coming folks!  Wake Up!  Plans are being made in the back room to turn our Waterfront into a giant airport!

Only David Miller can stop it now.  Where are you David?
