More on Snowbirds and stunts

Re: The Snowbird pilots are responsible for avoiding each other visually - Air Traffic Control does not play a role in keeping them apart from one another.

Joe, my point is that if the air traffic controllers do not play a role in keeping the Snowbirds apart and the Snowbirds have a bad record of keeping apart from each other, then these stunts are not safe around heavily populated areas with a lot of water traffic. It doesn't matter whether they are part of an air show, a practise run or an advert shoot. They are dangerous and people who are at risk should know what the dangers are so they can take action to curtail any similar future activity - this is not about 'making people nervous.' You are quite right, these incidents 'could happen to any aircraft at any time.'
