Helicopters and Hospitals

Hello TD Rose,

You are absolutely correct, critical HELICOPTER Medevacs go directly to the appropriate hospital heliport.

However, some of these cases arrive by aircraft (sometimes jets) that cannot land on the roof of a hospital and must transfer to an ambulance using the very convenient TCCA.

Helicopters don't have the speed or the range of an aircraft for patients coming from farther away.

Take Care!  Joe
