I am in agreement with your concerns. I sent the following to the TPA complaint site and of course have had no response other than they received it.

Description:
I was woken up by a Q400 doing an engine runup. Why does this continue when it is so far above any of the noise level parameters. It is so loud that if I were an employee, WSIB would demand that I be wearing ear protection. Why don t you do it inside of a hanger so that you do not damage the hearing of the neighbourhood."
