Noise complaint: A "Thunderous" Hercules
Incident Date: 04/24/2009
Incident Time: 10 - 13:14
Description:
A large, 4-engine Government of Canada transport plane, likely a
Hercules, landed thunderously this morning around 10:05, trailed by grey
pollution. The number on its tail, under the Canadian flag, was greyed
but read 130327. I couldn t find a record of its arrival or departure on
FlightAware.
It started its engines to take off a bit before 1300, and the engines
roared continuously until the plane took off at about 13:14, with thick,
grey exhaust trailing behind it.
I ve seen planes like this before at the airport. They are too loud
and too polluting to use the island airport. They should not be permitted
here.
