RE: MP blames Islanders for "anti-airport movement"

I thought that if Community Air supporters knew the perception that some MP's have of their group, it might help avoid further damage to the reputation of the Anti-Airport movement. In fact, I have commented many times that this perception is wrong and unfortunate since it overlooks the very real issues that waterfront residents face as a result of the airport. I also agree that MP's should respect ALL citizens but sadly the reality may not be consistent with the theory on that one.

If, in your opinion, this is even a tad hypocritical then I can live with whatever your concerns are since even though I am opposed to closing the TCCA, I have a clear conscience of trying to be open and honest with all Community Air supporters. Sometimes that means passing on information that they may not know or like to hear, or to correct erroneous postings on the website - malicious or otherwise.

To be clear - "Island Mafia" was not MY quote or even suggested by ME - it was the perception that MY MP and some of their colleagues had of the anti-airport movement.

Sorry if the post was offensive, I only meant for it to be informative, eye opening and attitude changing to protect the credibility of CommunityAir supporters. In future, if I am aware of information that may be valuable to the credibility of CommunityAir, I will withhold it to avoid being called hypocritical. Hope that helps.
