Characterization of CommunityAIR

OK Mr. Iler,

Joe Volpe is not my MP, but he "apparently" has a negative history with Community Air goals and objectives.

let me get this straight:

I tell the Community Air blog that there is a negative perception amongst some MP's about the group. This perception, by the way, is common knowledge to the Community Air hierarchy who does absolutely nothing to diminish the defensive, combative, childish and delusional commentary that is spread by a select few supporters.

I have clearly stated on more than one occasion that I do not agree with the characterization.

The information was presented in an attempt to tone down the rhetoric about building other airports in the midst of other established communities (High Park, Oakville etc) and NOT in the context of defending OR explaining any actions by the TCCA or the TPA.

If you are offended by this "slur", then hopefully it will result is a less combative, rude, defensive and accusatory tone from those who feel the need to communicate their opinions in this negative manner.

My goal was to inform - not offend.

Mr. Iler, If you already knew that some MPs felt this way, then why haven't you spoken out against some of the negative and attacking comments by some members.
Your silence is perceived as tacit approval of the commentary.

Once again, I never meant to offend anyone. I told you months ago that you needed to build credibility to gain support. I was telling you about a perception that was undermining your ability to build credibility - but instead of "thanks" - I get accused of uttering a slur.

When you get a chance, please let me know what action on the part of the TCCA or Porter I was defending in context to this statement?

Obviously, Community Air doesn't need my help - and I'll apologize once more if anyone took offense to the MP's opinion that I felt compelled to pass on.

Joe
