residential development surrounted by a "noisy, smelly, polluting commercial airport"

So many questions Mr. Spragg. A farmer plants his corn in one field, potatoes in another, and lettuce somewhere else because each needs specific conditions in order to survive and thrive. Houses are designed with bathrooms separate from kitchens to reduce the bad things from mixing with good things. Cities use the same model: we have the Entertainment District, the Fashion District, the Market District etc etc.

A question for you - why would the federal govt, via the Queens Quay Land Corporation, devolve its land for residential development only to surround a noisy, smelly, polluting commercial airport? And now, why is same govt, along with the City, poised to pour hundreds of millions $$ to "revitalize" Queens Quay? To appease residents? Not. To attract tourists? Believe it or not, Yes and cyclists. Now - who the hell is going to want to spend the day at the new $200 - 300,000,000 Queens Quay spread out under noisy, stinking, polluting air craft? I say keep the airports with the airports, and let the sunbabies have the water - along with subs and pizza. Dry cleaning done while you wait.
