The effect of Porter on Waterfront activities is already apparent.
I was at a concert at the big stage at Harbourfront when the amplified musicians stopped because of the noise of a landing Q-400. The wind was from the south west as it is often in the summer. The stink of the jet-fuel exhaust permeated the whole waterfront area. The acoustic classical concerts at the music garden are under a lot of noise pressure from the Q-400.
I think that this summer with a marked increase of flights there will be more push back from the users of the waterfront.
