Time to celebrate!  Break out the champagne! 

Karen, who works at the Island Airport, has told us that "Ornge who run the air ambulance system, is planning to move the helicopter base soon."

For years members of CommunityAIR have been saying that the Island Airport is not the appropriate place for the medevac service because the vast majority of their "pick ups" were north of the city.  We knew that the administrators of Ornge agreed with us and were looking for alternatives.  Now, finally it is going to happen. 

We wish Ornge well.  They provide a very essential service.  Thank you for being sensitive to the needs of the people of Toronto, the local Community and everyone who want to turn the Waterfront into a very special and unique place.
