Further to TD Rose's comment about the TPA's sending out "boys with guns in fast trucks" to get rid of the birds, we've often seen those trucks driving very fast, back and forth on the runways. Then we saw what looked like a gun truck lying in a ditch at the island airport, beside a runway, with its roof smashed in. It doesn't seem like a very safe way to rid the runways of birds, and I hope no one was hurt.
