Medivac and closing the Island Airport
Mr. Spragge is clearly referring to fixed wing Medevac while you are clearly referring to MOH helicopters. These both have very different requirements. It is Apples and Oranges. I don't think Community Air is acknowledging the distinction since you keep ignoring the requirements of FIXED WING MEDEVACS and going back to the TCCA cheaper rent issue. Furthermore, with pressure on Buttonville to close, what is PLAN B for the helicopters now??

(Editor's note: You are right, Joe. I was refering to helicopters, but the fixed wing aircraft do not have to stay at the Island Airport any more than helicopters have to stay.
Pearson now has the capasity to handle at least 50 million passengers a year and it was only handling about 30 million passengers before the recession. I expect it will be much less in 2009.
You are an air traffic controller, and I am sure that you would want to separate the helicopters from other aircraft, but that is not impossible. Pearson is a huge site and a part of the airport can be devoted to all medivac activities.
The day is coming when the Island Airport will have to close. Back in the days of the fight against the bridge to the Island Airport, we were told by a very good source that the GTAA wanted to see the Island Airport closed and all flights consolidated at Pearson.)
