That sounded a lot like your neighbors lawnmower that lasts about 15 minutes longer. How does an aircraft scream past noise limits? The limits are based on the aircraft type alone and not performance parameters. Perhaps the pilot needed additional thrust for a safe takeoff???? Geez.

YIKES!!!  We hate to complain on such a tragic day,  but dear Mr. and Mrs. TPA board members,  we jumped out of our boots at 2:22 p.m.  Holy Mackinaw!  A  Piaggio P.180/L Avanti took off from downtown screaming well past the permitted noise limits.   Not sure how  this breach of the tripartite agreement sounds?    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldqr2nLkJV8&feature=related

(editor's note:  The Piaggio P 180/L is an extremely loud aircraft that has been banned in such places as Santa Monica airport.  It is much louder than my lawnmower.)
