Curfew Violations and the Slippery Slope

Allowing Porter to regularly violate curfew puts the TPA right at the top of an increasingly slippery slope. TPA knew those planes were going to be late before they even left the ground - - plenty of time to be diverted to Pearson and landing space found. ( oops Porter would have to pay real money to land. Bob and the boys wouldn't like that very much)

By allowing Porter to violate with such frequency, impunity and with no penalty levied, it would indeed appear that the TPA (aka the feds)is providing an unfair and unjust subsidy to a privately held, for-profit commercial enterprise.

Beyond subsidizing Porter operations in such a way, it is indeed regrettable that a federal agency is forcing tax paying residents to report each and every violation in effort to halt that slide down the slippery slope to a 24/7 airport operation.
