Concerning the Toronto Port Authority, it is to expected that Mayor Miller would be negative. It must gnaw at his gut that he cannot sell off the airport to developers for more high-end condos. It would be a disaster for Toronto if he gained control of the TPA. The mayor is totally ignorant of the facts when discussing the Island Airport. He has lost all objectivity in favour of votes from waterfront condo owners and island dwellers. Certainly a bridge to the Airport is a sound business decision. Like guns, the mayor relies on rhetoric when the facts don't suit. Any federal government that hands the TPA over to the city would not be acting in the best interest of all Canadians. We all have an interest in the success of this airport quite aside from the self-interested minority that oppose it.
